North Lakes Recreation Center is located at 2001 W. Windsor Dr. A fitness center with exercise and conditioning machines, free weights, and fitness specialists make this a popular location for Denton residents. In addition, the 17,417-square-foot facility houses indoor courts and three multi-purpose areas (one includes a refrigerator) that are available for rentals. North Lakes also offers an array of activities and programs, ranging from group exercise to children’s dance.

Denia Recreation Center
is located at 1001 Parvin St. The 17,415-square-foot facility houses a full-time preschool, a fitness center, a game room with public computers, indoor courts, and an indoor rock climbing wall. Three multi-purpose areas (one includes a refrigerator) are available for rentals and may be made into one large room for larger events. Denia Rec Center also offers an array of activities and programs, including an extensive outdoor recreation program.

MLK Jr. Recreation Center
is located at 1300 Wilson St. The 21,560-square-foot facility houses a fitness center, indoor courts, a computer room, a game room, and an arts and crafts room. A variety of spaces are available for rentals, including a kitchen and multi-purpose rooms. MLK Jr. Rec Center also offers an array of activities and programs, ranging from martial arts to children’s cooking classes.

Denton Senior Center
is located at 509 N. Bell St. The 19,430-square-foot facility serves as a gathering place for adults, age 50 and older, to enjoy daily SPAN lunches and fellowship, monthly socials and seminars, frequent trips, and special events. To enhance your safety in our recreation facilities, a facility ID card system is used for drop-in activities. The card costs $5 per year for City of Denton residents and $10 per year for nonresidents. The card provides access to all City of Denton recreation centers‘ indoor courts, game rooms, and computer rooms.

Denton Natatorium
is located next to Water Works Park and the skate park at 2400 Long Rd., near Loop 288 and FM 428 (Sherman Drive). The Natatorium has two indoor pools (a ten-lane competition pool with diving well and leisure pool with slide) and is used for year-round swim lessons, party rentals, water exercise classes, the Denton Dolphins Swim Team, Family Fun Nights, and more.

Denton Natatorium is celebrating six years as a joint-use facility with the Denton Independent School District (DISD) and the City of Denton’s Parks and Recreation Department. DISD high schools use the Natatorium for varsity and jr. varsity practices, middle school practices, home swim meets, and water polo matches.

Goldfield Tennis Center
is located next to North Lakes Recreation Center at 2005 W. Windsor Dr. The center has a Pro Shop and nine lighted tennis courts with a backboard on court #8. In addition to court reservations, the center offers both group and private lessons with tennis pros, adult and youth leagues, and cardio tennis workouts.

The Athletics Division
serves an average of 15,000 participants each year. We offer a wide range of both youth and adult programs, and we strive to meet current trends as our population grows. If you would like to see a particular activity added, we are open to suggestions and welcome your input.
